    Copy your CostSlice key

    After you sign in, the key is on Get Started. Permanent home: Settings → Keys. Put COSTSLICE_KEY in your product’s environment variables, never in chat.

    Point the product at CostSlice

    In the code that already calls OpenAI, set the address to https://api.costslice.com/v1 and send x-cs-key. Completions still go to OpenAI with your OpenAI API key.

    Put the opaque customer ID on every request

    Opaque customer ID, feature, and whether it’s production. Never a name or email. A missing ID still completes and lands in untagged. Starter at 10,000 requests: new proxy calls stop until you upgrade.
